Thule Roof Bike Racks Review - 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're gonna being a test fit on the Thule Outride Roof Mounted Bike Rack. That's part number TH561020.I've already got it in place on my roof rack system to give you an idea of what it looks like and how it holds our bikes. It's gonna work with your round, square, aero, elliptical, and most factory roof rack systems. As you can see here, on aero, elliptical, and some factor roof rack systems, you'll need to use the T-slot method to mount your bike rack. For square and round bars, the clamps are included.It's a fork mount bike rack. It's gonna work with your standard 9mm quick release axles, but it'll also work with thru axles, 15mm, and 20mm. more

Inno Roof Bike Racks Review - 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be test-fitting the Inno Fork Lock III Roof Bike Rack, part number INA391. Contrary to the title, this does not fit three bikes. It grips your bike at two points. We'll have a rear wheel strap, which is adjustable to length of the back rack, to accommodate for bikes of different sizes, and we'll have this fork mount up at the front, which will hold it with this skewer.Now notice that there is no frame contact once you attach this to your bike rack, which is good for carbon fiber bikes. Once you have it tightened down with the skewer mount here, it is covered with this plastic cover here, which is lockable. So not only is your bike secured to your bike rack, but your bike rack is secured to your roof rack, as well.Unfortunately, with the length of the bike rack, we are going to make contact with our hash, should we try to open it. more

And then we'll have this rear wheel strap, which is adjustable the length of the bike rack to accommodate for bikes of different sizes.Now, a bonus about this is we don't have to remove the front tire once we install this onto our vehicle. However, it does add quite a bit of height to the bike rack itself once you do that as well and that should be kept in mind.With everything installed as it is, we're not going to have an issue of clearance either between our hatch and the bike rack. more

Today on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be doing a test fit of the Rhino Rack Hybrid Roof Mounted Bike Rack. That's part number RRRBC050. I've already got it loaded up on the Grand Cherokee just to give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it secures our bike. We actually have 2 wheel straps, front and rear and then we have a large wheel hook going over our front wheel putting down pressure into our tray and to our wheel stop here. All in all, no frame contact with this bike rack. It's a really nice feature. more

Today on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee we're doing a test for the Rocky Mounts Switch Hitter Roof Mounted Bike Rack. That's part number RKY1270. We already got it loaded up on our Jeep Grand Cherokee's roof just to give you a good idea of what it's going to look like and how it's going to secure our bike. It actually secures our bike in two spots. We have this rear wheel strap here, securing our rear wheel. Then we also have this quick release skewer for our fork mounted bike. Today on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be doing a test fit of the RockyMounts BrassKnuckles roof mounted bike rack. That's Part Number RKY1202. I've already got it up on the Grand Cherokee just to give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it's going to secure our bike. It actually secures our bike in 3 spots. We have 2 wheel straps for the front and rear, and then we have 1 large hook that puts down pressure on our front tire into the tray and up against the wheel stop here. All in all, no frame contact. Today on this 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be testing the inner fork-lock in-bike carrier part number INA391. Don't let the name fool you, it can only carry one bike. As you can see, it has two points of contact with your bike. It hold it by the fork and it also has this strap on the back. Let's go ahead and loosen that up, then we'll go up to the front here. Now a nice feature about this bike rack is it does come with a lock so you can unlock it. more

Today on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're doing a test fit of the Thule Sprint T-Track and roof-mounted bike rack. That part number is TH569. Now, we already have our bike loaded up. We're first going to show you how we load that on and secure that down and then we'll go over how we load up our bike rack. On either side, we have a grey button that you're going to push to release your strap. The strap also comes with a bushing here which is going to protect your smaller tire bikes. more

Today, on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're doing the test fit of the Thule ThruRide Roof Mounted bike rack. That part number is TH535. Now, we already have our bike on the rack, we're first going to show you how we secure that down. Here in the back at the tire we have a ratcheting strap that you're going to see on most of your bike racks. We also have a bushing, which is going to secure the smaller tires like we have here today, just down further into that wheel cradle. To release those, we're just going to push on gray button there and pull the strap through. more

Today in our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we are doing a test fit of the Rhino Rack Mounting Trail Roof top bike carrier, that part number is RBC035. Now we already have a bike on our rack, I just want to show you a few things here. This is a fork mounted bike rack, you see we have a forks here with our skewer engaged, we come to the back we have our wheel cradle, just our wheel sitting in it, with our one single strap. We will remove this first, set it out of the way. Then we come up here, disengaged the skewer by pulling back here, loosening it a little bit, then we take the bike off our rack, set this to the side. Its always a good idea if you have straps on your bike rack, please go ahead and replace them so they don't get damaged or lost. Now to show you how this is all hooked up, we have our lid here, take this off. It has a key for you, anti theft. more

Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee we're going to be doing a test fit of the Kuat Trio. This is going to be your rooftop-mounted bike rack, part number TR02. Let's go ahead and set it up on the vehicle and we'll show you how it's fully assembled. Locate the x'ed 00:22 pad here on the front and center that on your front crossbar. Next you'll take your first of two u-shaped bolts with your protective rubber coating underneath, go underneath the crossbar, and up through the holes to where it meets up here. You will then take your nuts. more

Rhino Rack MountainTrail Roof Bike Racks Review - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Rhino Rack Mountain Trail Rooftop Mountain Bike Rack, part number RBC035. First thing we are going to do is set it up on top of the vehicle and slide the straps underneath of our crossbar like so and before we start strapping that one down we're going to slide one bolt and one wing nut on the one side of our rear crossbar, as you can see the other side is going to have the bolt with the plate in place and a wing nut. Let's go ahead and tighten down the front one. First thing we're going to need to do is remove the cover like so and then we're going to grab our allen tool, slide the straps in and then we'll tighten that up and you can see that plate is going to pull it back as we screw this in tightening up the straps underneath. All right once we have that tight and secure, we're going to place that cover back over the top like so and click it into place and that does lock and secure as well. Next we'll move to the backside, remove the wing nut on the one with just the bolt, place the bracket with the hole on it over the top of the bolt and then we'll start threading it back on. All right once we have it started, we'll go ahead and thread that one up. Now we'll just get it up to right where it is underneath of the rear crossbar and then we're going to center it and then thread them both up evenly. more

Thule Sprint Roof Bike Racks Review - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our two thousand and fifteen Jeep Grand Cherokee we're going to be doing a test fit of Thule Sprint rooftop mounted bike rack. As you can see we already have it attached to our after market cross bars. This is going to be part number T-H-5-2-8. As you can see we've already got our bike on it as well, so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and your bike in place. Let's start off by going in reverse order of how we would put it on and take the bike off. On the back side here, you're going to have you protective rubber coating with that protective strap that's going to go around that rear wheel. Go ahead and press that button in then push it out until you can grab a hold of it. more

Yakima ForkLift Roof Mounted Bike Rack Review - 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be test fitting the Yakima ForkLift roof-mounted bike rack, part number Y02098. With the factory roof rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin by placing our ForkLift directly onto our load bars. Here at the front, we'll bring our clamp around our front bar, we'll go ahead and remove our skewer, and then, we'll tighten down our T handle to secure the front part. We'll then slide thebracket up around the T handleand reinstall our skewer. Here at the rear, we'll bring our rear clamp around our rear bar, drop the T bolt through the appropriate slot, and tighten it by twisting the T handle on top. With the front and rear secure, we'll go ahead and undo the rear wheel strap and make sure that our skewer at the front is loose. We'll grab our bike and place it onto our bike rack, drop in our front forks down onto our skewer. We'll secure the bike first by tightening our skewer and then move to the rear and tighten with the wheel strap. That completes today's test fit for the Yakima ForkLift roof-mounted bike rack, part number Y02098, on our 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. . more

Swagman Fork Down Roof Bike Rack Review - 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today, on our 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be test fitting the Swagman Fork Down roof-mounted bike rack, part number S64710. With the factory roof-rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our testing by placing the Fork Down directly onto our crossbars. Here at the front platform, we'll bring our U bolts around the underside of our front crossbar and fit them up through the front platform. We can then secure it by tightening it with the wing nuts. We'll repeat this process for the other side of the front platform. Now, we'll move to the rear and drop our U bolt through the top of the bike rack, making sure that the bolts go around our rear crossbar. more

RockyMounts TieRod Stretch Roof Bike Rack Review - 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today, on our 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be test fitting the RockyMounts TieRod Stretch roof-mounted bike rack, part number RKY1011. With the factory roof racksystem on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fitby placing the stretch directly onto our crossbars. Here at the front, we'll bring the straps around our front bar, removethe black plastic cover, and fit our straps into the head of the carrier. We can then use an Allen key to tighten the Allen bolt, which will tighten our straps around our bar. We'll go ahead and replace the black plastic cover and then move to the rear and loosen up our Allen bolts at our rear clamp. We'll bring our rear clamp around our rear bar, drop the Allen bolts back through, and secure it by tightening down the Allen bolts with an Allen key. With the front and rear secure, we'll go ahead and undo the rear wheel strap and make sure our skewer at the front is loose. We'll grabour bike and place it onto our bike rack, drop in our front forks down onto our skewer. We'll secure the bike first by tightening the skewer and then move to the rear and tighten with the wheel strap. more

Today on our 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be test fitting the RockyMounts TieRod roof-mounted bike rack, part number RKY1014. With the factory roof rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the RockyMounts TieRod directly onto our crossbars. We can then remove the black plastic cover. We'll go ahead and bring our rubber-coated straps around our front bar, fit the straps into thehead of the carrier, anduse an Allen key to tighten the Allen bolt, whichwill tighten our straps around our front bar. We'll then replace the black plastic cover and move to therear clamp. We'll undo the Allen bolt so we can bring our rear clamp around our rear bar. We'll feed back through the Allen bolt, and then, we can tighten themdown with an Allen key. With the front and rear secure, we'll go ahead and undo the rear wheel strap and make sure the skewer at thefront is loose. more

Thule Domestique Roof Bike Rack Review - 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, well be test fitting the Thule Domestique Fork Mounted Roof Mount Carrier, part number TH513. Now with our roof rack system already assemble and onto our vehicle, well begin our test fit by placing the carrier onto the vehicles crossbars. In no specific order, well loosen up both the front and rear bracket to bring the brackets around the underside of the crossbars. Note that for the front of the bracket, you must first remove the skewer in order to have access to the front two Allen bolts. Well then loosen up the Allen bolts to bring the bracket around the front crossbar; well then tighten them down and replace the skewer. Then for the rear bracket well loosen up the Allen bolts and bring the bracket around the rear the crossbar and then tighten them down with the included Allen key. more

Today on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, well be test fitting the Rocky Mounts Tie Rod, Roof Mounted Bike Carrier, part number RKY1014.Now with the roof rack system already assembled and onto our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the carrier onto the vehicles crossbars. We'll then remove the black front plastic cap on the front of the carrier to bring the rubber coated steel straps around the underside of the front crossbar and hook them into position.We can then move to the rear of the carrier where we will loosen up the allen bolt to bring that bracket around the underside of the rear crossbar and tying it down.We can then move up to the front of the carrier, where with the included allen wrench, we can tighten down the allen bolt, tightening the straps to the front crossbar, securing the carrier to the vehicle. After replacing the front black plastic cap, were ready to load our bike.We'll loosen up the tray strap and place the bike onto the carrier. We'll slide the forks onto the skewer and tighten it down and secure the back tire with the tray strap.That completes todays test fit for the Rocky Mounts Tie Rod, Roof Mounted Bike Carrier, part number RKY1014 on our 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. more
